A way too early big board for the fans planning to be at the top of the draft board in 2022.

Making big boards this early always seems to be an exercise in futility. Year after year players who were once fringe top 100 picks see meteoric rises during the college football season i.e 2021 2nd overall pick Zach Wilson, 2020 Heisman winner Joe Burrow, and Khalil Mack in 2014. On the flip side of that, once highly touted prospects tumble down draft boards. QB Jamie Newman was once seen as a top 50 lock after his performance at Wake Forest and subsequent transfer to Georgia; he went undrafted and was cut by Philadelphia before the team even got to OTA’s.

The truth of the matter is, for every blue chip can’t miss like Trevor Lawerence, Andrew Luck and Joe Thomas; there are hundreds of kids that have their hopes of an NFL career realized and destroyed over the course of one college football season. But alas I, like many others, are starved for the crack of pads, famished for the sound of Lee Corso’s voice on College GameDay, hungry for a new slate of risers, fallers, and Heisman hopefuls. So I’m gonna do this list anyway.

While this class may not have the standout QB like the aforementioned Trevor Lawerence or the game breaking WR of Ja’Marr Chase, it is shaping up to be tremendously deep at quite a few positions. With as many as six quarterbacks potentially going off the board in round one; teams will find potential stars on days two and three.
